This entry is a bit late, but here it is anyway: I was lucky enough to be invited along with the Aquatorium group for an evening cruise aboard the Schamonchi. We launched the weekend of Thanksgiving. It was a clear day and beautiful evening. It isn’t often that one floats by along Newtown Creek to have all the draw-bridges open for us as if in salute! We made out way of the Creek’s mouth, along the East River and into Upper New York Harbor where we gave our fondest wishes to Lady Liberty. Coming back into Newtown Creek and English Kills was just as stunning. This was a real treat and I thank Elizabeth, Seva and the entire crew for this holiday gift!
